use of the sociologically relevant terms in your essay

use of the sociologically relevant terms in your essay. Underline all sociology terms. The terms you choose should be from the review sheets I handed
out in class. Any other sociology terms you use must be properly referenced (APA OR MLA
STYLE) and be listed formally on a reference page. Your use of each term must clearly indicate
to me that you understand the term within the context of your essay response.
For example, the following response does not demonstrate to me that the author understands
the sociological definition or significance of cliques: “…When I was in high school, I was in a
clique.

There were many cliques in my school

Cliques were something we were all in.” Never
leave the reader wondering what you’re talking about. Explain EVERYTHING. This is the only
way for me to know you understand the underlying sociological significance of the terms you are
writing about. Lastly, remember this essay must be written from the perspective of sociology,
NOT from the perspective of a related discipline such as economics, psychology, or political
science. Essays must be uploaded to the appropriate link in the class Blackboard. Must be
formatted in either Microsoft Word or PDF.

Essay Question: Describe your own family utilizing the terms reviewed in class.

As you write, be
sure to explain your use of the sociologically relevant terms in your essay. Think about family
conflicts and the influence of society on your family. Think about your basic family unit and what
comprises it. I understand this task may be difficult for you, for personal reasons. If this is the
case, you may opt to write about another family, perhaps a fictional family, to demonstrate your
use of the terms reviewed in class. If you choose to write about another family, please be sure to
tell me so in your essay! Underline all sociology terms
