Today in Your Health and exercise physiology.
Hot off the press: “Today in Your Health”
The news, popular press, and social media are constantly bombarding the public with information about health and wellness. These news “briefs” are often sparked by new and popular science, but the interpretation of the research and message sent to the public may or may not always correlate with the true conclusion of the study or basic physiology. The ability to think critically and assess the health and wellness messages conveyed to the public is an important role as a practitioner in the field of Kinesiology.
Critically evaluate a current “popular” health claim based concepts learned in the course and take a stand on whether or not you agree with the message being conveyed.
