Theories of Gender Inequality Term Paper. Women of color are one of the most vulnerable groups in the United States to face multiple forms of discrimination such as racism and gender discrimination in the workplace
(Romero 2018). Although women of color occupy jobs in many fields of work today, a significant proportion of these women work in low paying jobs including healthcare support occupations and service industry including hotels and personal care. Different theories of gender
inequality attempt to explain the complex phenomenon of gender inequality in organizations.

What can your reader learn from examining this problem or issue through the lens of gender? Identify the two theories of gender that you will apply to the problem or issue you selected to write on. Define the theories (explain your understanding of these two frameworks). Why are you choosing to examine this problem or issue through these two theoretical lenses? How are these theoretical frameworks manifested in the problem or issue you are studying (where do you see the theory in action in your topic)? Why is the application of these specific theories significant? (This is the first part of the substantive section). Identify the limitations of each theoretical application. Theory is a dialogue. Each theoretical framework has its strengths and limitations. You have identified its strengths throughout the paper and now it’s time to be reflexive. What are the limitations of the theories you applied with respect to the problem or issue you are examining? Despite these limitations, why are these theoretical applications still useful in examining social phenomena? (This is the second part of the substantive section).
