Lowering the drinking age should be discouraged at all costs in the United States. The intake of alcohol in a reasonable manner by individuals is beneficial to their health status. Alcohol consumption could be dated back 80 million years ago when primates ate the fruits that were rich in ethanol. According to the lowest legal age of drinking in America, the minimum age to buy alcohol is 21 years.

Minimum Legal Drinking Age (MLDA) statutory was enacted after 1984 when there was a specification of age, before that the states could vary in the sale of alcohol to these individuals. Alcohol as a natural product is often consumed by adults for various reasons, including pleasure, reducing stress, and so forth; however, lowering the drinking age should be discouraged at all costs in the United States. The purpose is to evade negative consequences to them and the people around them.
