Interview an Entrepreneur

Interview an Entrepreneur. The student will identify and interview a successful entrepreneur who is not known to the student before initiating work on this assignment. You may not interview someone who has already been asked to be interviewed by another classmate. The students should prepare a list of interview questions. The questions should be developed based on the course readings and identified best practices. The written assignment and zoom presentation should include an analysis and reflection on the entrepreneurial process shared by the interviewee and the most valuable lessons learned from the interview.

Information to include in the presentation/paper:
1) Describe the problem and/or services of the business in the context of the social or commercial problem your entrepreneur has identified and describe their basic business development strategy(s).
2) Evaluate the strength of your entrepreneur’s chosen business practices in terms of their potential for systemic impact. How might their business plan lead to large-scale and meaningful social/commercial change? How will the business impact the community?

3) Describe the business model that your entrepreneur has chosen to employ. Briefly summarize their existing or aspirational funding strategy.
4) Evaluate the degree to which your entrepreneur’s chosen business model is appropriate to address the purpose and mission of the organization and/or social problems. Suggest a shift in their business model or funding model that would either support broader systemic change or enhanced financial sustainability for the organization.
5) Describe how your entrepreneur currently is measuring (or planning to measure) their organization’s impact? Which social/commercial outcomes are they capturing, and which are they missing?
