When parents are open to the differences of a child its shows a form of compassion and show that people have different viewpoints. For example, if a child sees the neighbor with a head wrap on and he or she thinks he looks funny, it’s up to the parents to tell the child its apart of that individual culture. When a child is exposed to these traits they will know right from wrong and will never cheat themselves into anything. Last but not least, self-discipline is an essential factor in inspiring a child to be a good citizen. When a child has self- discipline, they know that there is a time and place for everything, the know how to act towards certain things or situations.
