Loewen and Zinn both claim that because the United States is portrayed as the international good guy, we are able to justify or hide our real intent (our hidden ideology). What ideology is at play in this topic? You may want to claim that we do have a special role to play in the world, and that we for the most part have a beneficial impact on world affairs.

7. Capitalism versus Socialism (two different ideologies). What impact does the fact that we live in a capitalist system have on the issues we have been studying? Use our reading to promote one or the other or a combination of the two ideologies.
